Achilles tendonitis (heel Cord Tendonitis) involves pain at the achilles tendon or heel cord and can be treated with arch supports. Foot alignment problems can create excess strain on the Achilles tendon and cause it to break down and become inflammed and painful. Arch supports / foot orthotics for Achilles tendonitis (heel cord tendonitis) are designed to control the foot alignment and add a slight heel raise to take pressure off and reduce the pain from Achilles tendonitis and give the achilles tendon (heel cord) time to heal.
We have 55 years of pedorthic experience invested in the design of our arch supports / foot orthotics that were created especially to help those who suffer with achilles tendonitis (heel cord tendonitis). They include heel stabilizers and mild heel raises to take pressure away from the Achilles tendon.
If you are experiencing ball-of-foot pain / metatarsalgia or heel pain / heel spurs and have been diagnosed with achilles tendonitis as well, you will be given an option for 'ball of foot pain' and 'heel pain' to add to your Achilles tendonitis arch supports (heel cord tendonitis arch supports) when you order.
Most common uses: Achilles Tendonitis or Heel Cord Tendonitis
*These Achilles Tendonitis arch supports are meant for you if you have been diagnosed with Achilles Tendonitis by your doctor, podiatrist, or other foot care specialist.
Arch supports are also known as foot orthotics, orthotic insoles, shoe inserts, and footbeds.
**Proper foot care is especially important if you have diabetes, neuropathy (nerve problems where you don't feel things properly), severe arthritis, or circulation problems. In these cases the wrong treatment can make matters worse. Make sure you have an OK from your physician before you choose any treatment to help these conditions. If your physician recommends over the counter foot orthotics for one of these conditions, our Accommodative Cushion model would be your best choice.
